A Fresh Start

Carlisle Baptist Church enjoys warm relationships with a number of other local churches and is known for its friendly style and atmosphere. Although established for many years, recently the church has declined numerically to the point where the existing members are now few in number. After several years without a pastor the church faced an uncertain future. In October 2009 the church invited Peter Walkingshaw to come and serve them as its full-time pastor. Peter accepted the invitation and will begin work in September 2010. This opportunity for a fresh start or “reboot” is welcomed by all the present members. They are looking forward to the opportunities for growth now presented by this partnership.
